    Summary of Application Experience

Wow I must say that the medical school application cycle was the worst experience I've had. So much stress and anxiety especially when waiting for schools for interview invites or acceptances/waitlist/rejection notifications. I feel sorry for pre-meds...we have it rough.
Didn't think I would fare that well when applying to med schools because 1) I'm ORM with not much prestige regarding school choice, 2) didn't have a strong theme in my opinion, and 3) relatively low verbal score. However, I worked hard on my personal statements and secondaries and told my story. Was honored to receive secondaries from all the UCs I applied to! I think that's good enough for me.
Got a post-interview rejection at a state school and didn't think I would get in this cycle. However, luck was on my side in the spring and I got an interview and later an acceptance! Prep consisted of interview books, self-practice, and mock interviews. It only takes one acceptance to become a doctor. PM me if you have any questions!
