About me BEFORE application: -URM, disadvantaged (immediate family category) -unusual life story -3 academic years of undergrad research (2 labs, 1 for 2 years, the other for 1 year til present) -3 summer internships, two of which are <~1.5% acceptance, I'm applying to all three MSTP programs from these schools -VP then President of Pre-Med organization, secretary and VP of some other organizations -~500 hours non medical volunteering -~200 hours medical volunteering -~150 hour shadowing -~300 hours volunteer/for pay tutoring/teaching experience -16 oral or poster presentations all except 1 as first author, most at national conferences such as SFN, AMRCMS, Ivy STEM+, etc. Some at local/institutional symposia -Once worked for Federal gov as an internship, got top secret clearance -~15 honors or awards (some honor societies, dean's list, a few awards for outstanding ____)
>6 LORS (from PIs, non science that I had two classes for, director of my program/had a class, had a class and was a TA for, dept head had a class and consulted me on pre-med matters) All promised outstanding LORs and I have known them all well for >2 years

Summary of Experience:
Secondary received 7/1/14; no secondary fee for MSTP applicants!; Rejected MSTP, asked to be considered for MD only. Only considering MD as a way to later get into MSTP
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew because not MD-PhD, No Secondary just $120 fee. LOR request 7/8/14; So surprised!! I applied MD here and got an II on 8/25! :)

Withdrew: great school, great people, but Dallas is closer to home, I know Cornell's program personally, and I have family in Chicago.
