Brief Profile:
Definitely a nontrad route here. Worked in the national security field with a undergrad degree in economics from Rice in Texas and a graduate degree from Georgetown University in international affairs. After some time working in national security I decided to switch into medicine. Began working for the fire dept as a paramedic while also taking post-bac pre-med classes and busting my a$$ trying to prepare for the MCAT (considering I'm not a science background at all, I essentially had to teach myself 4 years of science in about 6 months). But hey, got into my top choice med school, so bottom line is that if you have DISCIPLINE you can go anywhere you want for med school. Good luck to you!
