Brief Profile:
demographics and numbers are distorted to remain anonymous - will update after application cycle!
My ECs are nothing too special. Lots of volunteering with disadvantaged populations, minimal research, club leadership roles, several jobs, and some shadowing. I think what helped me get a decent amount of interviews was my application had a nice "theme" that my personal statement highlighted.

Summary of Application Experience
Took my MCAT in mid-July (writing score is not real) and didn't submit my AMCAS until shortly after the exam. I wasn't verified until 8 weeks later, which was extremely frustrating due to the AMCAS delay. Applying EARLY cannot be stressed enough!
I pre-wrote all my secondaries and submitted them almost within a week when I was verified in mid-September. I received most of my interview invites after Christmas. Even if you apply a little late like I did, it's not too big of a deal after all so don't panic!
Update letters are golden. I sent update letters to 7 schools in December/January after not hearing anything for months and consequently received 5/7 interviews from these schools.
Summary of Experience:
12/23-sent an update letter.
1/22-wonderful school full of friendly people! was completely impressed by the interview day. my interviewer was basically trying to convince me to attend jefferson during our conversation.
1/29-so happy to have a quick turnaround - FIRST ACCEPTANCE! :))
Summary of Experience:
interview day was extremely well-put together, but long. students seemed very happy and the hospital was beautiful! however, there seems to be some kinks that still needs to be worked out since it's a new medical school...which was kind of disconcerting to me.
3/5-recieved a call for a 48k/year renewable scholarship. wow!
