Summary of Application Experience

This site was incredibly helpful to me back when I didn't even know if I should bother applying to medical school this cycle because of my low sGPA. I took my MCAT at the end of the summer and because of the score I decided to go for it! I had to enter a W score here but I had taken the MCAT in 2013 when there was no writing section so I just put in a random letter.

I was pretty late in the cycle by the time I submitted my primary (Sept 1st) so I decided to only apply to DO schools. After reading more about the philosophy and OMM I knew I had made the right decision for me. My advice for late applicants is to prewrite your secondaries while your primary is being verified! I didn't do that so when my app finally was verified (around Oct 20th) I was overwhelmed with all the essays I had to write and didn't submit them as fast as I could have. Regardless, I was accepted into my top choice before the end of the year so it all worked out. Good luck to future applicants!
