Summary of Experience:
Too lazy to write secondary essays, and couldn't think of good things to write about given the prompts. Would have been a dream to go here, but ultimately I knew my stats weren't competitive enough.
Summary of Experience:
I interviewed in Las Vegas, which is really convenient since I am a full time teacher. (Would have liked to see the actual medical school in person). The resources, cost, small class size, and curriculum were all the biggest draws. Along with two really good interviewers that made it easier to answer more difficult ethical questions, UNR was my top choice. The only negative I am aware of is that most of the rotations that I want to do are in Las Vegas, so I plan on moving back to Vegas after the first two pre-clinical years.
The decisions were supposed to come out on January 15th, and so the entire day I was super nervous. What made it more difficult was that I had already booked a flight for another interview at Ohio University's DO school. I landed in Denver and saw in my email that I had been accepted!!! Immediately, I knew I was going to cancel the OU interview. Still feels surreal that I am going to be able to do what I love for my career!!!!
