Summary of Experience:
first rejection hurts. i have this theory it was because i kept on emailing them on how they didn't send me the fee request..oh well :(
Summary of Experience:
I like this school, but it was near the bottom of my list. interview costs are increasing and after getting II from many other preferred schools, I am going to withdraw from this school
Summary of Experience:
This rejection was painful. Yale was my first choice pre-II and after interviewing, I know i would incredibly love to attend here. the students are close with each other and the faculty. the campus is nice and urban feeling and NYC is only 1.5hrs away. theres no doubt the yale system is by far one of the best medical school curriculum out there and the thought of it makes me day dream. After attending my Upenn interview though, its becoming difficult to still say Yale is my top choice. Upenn and Yale both have advantages that appeal to me.
Summary of Experience:
I was incredibly impressed with Upenn during my interview. No doubt best interview so far. Upenn has a lot going for it, and that excites me in terms of growth. I also like how it's right inside philly, but still has that campus setting unlike a NY school. I would be incredibly happy to be accepted here.
Summary of Experience:
this school surprised me. it was not originally my top choice, but it's now currently my top choice school. the interview was laid back. hopkins was unique in that the students all seemed top-notch in undergrad. it seemed they all did incredible stuff, which made me feel kinda bad lol.
Summary of Experience:
I like columbia, but i am honestly worried about living in NYC. although the city is awesome, living in it seems a little scary. I feel like it's easy to become a nobody here, but am looking forward to the interview
Summary of Experience:
Pre interview, duke was close to the top of my list, but after visiting durham, I was a little disappointed. the town is quiet and seems dead almost. Although duke is a fine institution, I am worried about living in Durham. Also, since they offer no student housing, most of the students end up living very far away from each other which makes it seem like they are not as close. this worries me since Durham is already dull. now imagine being lonely in a dull city. but nonetheless, I still like duke and its curriculum.
Summary of Experience:
yay!, first state school to offer me an interview :). withdrew. i just couldn't see myself here. plus they don't have an MPH masters combined program
Summary of Experience:
First acceptance!! :) Emory has an amazing and incredibly beautiful campus. Everything looks absolutely new and I really love the humor of the admission committee. the students were friendly and the faculty seemed approachable. I felt really bad about my group interview (they ask really insightful questions). I couldn't articulate my speech well, but I felt my second interview, 1-1, went well. The tour of the hospital was the most detailed I've had, which I appreciated a lot. I enjoyed getting to see the pre-mature babies and getting to see many floors of Grady Hospital. The students also seemed down to earth and really friendly. Overall I was impressed by Emory.
