Summary of Application Experience
AD military, and stoked to be able to finally work on becoming a doctor at current command. Like many other non-trads I have been working on completing my pre-reqs, volunteering, and took a CNA course.
Long story short I have wanted to be a doctor for numerous years. Decided to live a little first and joined the military after college. I also had to much fun during college based on the grades. Although I did major in a tough engineering field. Now I am back to point A.
Summary of Experience:
Received an email that says, I am no longer being considered, because I was accepted to LECOM Seton Hill. Be weary of this happening to you, I personally would have rather gone here. I would have at least contacted admissions knowing what I know now to see if I was going to be getting an interview invite before sending my check to LECOM.
Summary of Experience:
Very bummed about this. I am in the military, and from Wyoming. I thought RVU was friendly to WY residents and the military. I still think despite being a for profit school that they're preparing their students to be well trained doctors. But I see this school following the footsteps of too many other DO schools that are becoming statistically blind to applicants more then many allopathic schools.
Summary of Experience:
Amazing school! If you are from SD might as well apply. Again like UNMC, I probably will not be accepted here, but congrats to everyone who is accepted. The school has amazing USMLE scores. I am in the pending pool until Feb 22.
Summary of Experience:
Top notch program! I highly doubt I will be accepted based on my numbers, but congrats to everyone who is accepted here. It is a hidden gem.
Summary of Experience:
Great school! The most like an MD school out of the DO schools that I visited. Would have went if accepted out of the other DO schools.
Summary of Experience:
Loved the school! I like what the school is about, CHCs and giving back. I also liked that the admin brought up future possible residency problem, and talked about trying to alleviate this.
