Brief Profile:
Graduated from Tech in 2009, then moved to Haiti to volunteer at a women's clinic as an EMT. Survived the earthquake in 2010 and stayed to help in a makeshift clinic. Came back home to Texas, went through PTSD counseling then started teaching chemistry in a Dallas suburb. It took 3 years of dealing with terrible parents to make me wake up and realize my passion is helping people feel better and that I will be a doctor. Used a Kaplan review course and took the MCAT at the end of April, 2013. Score: 32. PS:9; BS:10; VR:13. Applied to TTUHSC SOM early decision and FMAT program on June 12. Love my MCAT score but not my undergrad GPA: 3.47 overall, 3.18 science. Praying for an interview soon!
