Summary of Experience:
The last day of interviews was the 19th, so while the official rejection won't come until January I can successfully write off this one as a loss
Summary of Experience:
They are all very enthusiastic about the quality of education they offer. I like the area well enough, if I got accepted here I would have to take a while to decide between Hofstra and Stony Brook
Summary of Experience:
My first MMI interview. As a big Orange fan I like that it is next to SU, and that certainly means a wealth of passtimes around me. Not sure how I feel about the Binghamton track, but overall generally impressed by the experience.
Really surprised I got rejected flat out here. I thought I rocked the interview and my numbers were good. I guess it's just a chaotic process.
Summary of Experience:
Longest interview day to date. Some unstructured time spent mostly sitting in the admissions office or lecture halls. Didn't like the lecture quite as much as I did at upstate, but certainly liked all of the facilities and the Double-Helix curriculum. Probably my #1 as of right now.
Summary of Experience:
Placed on post-interview hold at University Track. Pretty bummed, this was far and away my top choice. But I guess it could pan out, as it isn't an outright rejection either.
Summary of Experience:
Very relaxed interview. 1 on 1 with a physician at Kings Cross. Had some hard hitting questions, specifically calling out deficiencies in my application, but conversational tone helped nullify the stress. Overall not optimistic, but glad to have one under my belt.
Summary of Experience:
Not exactly what I expected, it's a very nice school in a rough area. The tuition may be a little bit prohibitive but I like the emphasis on clinical skills. Downside is the very large class, though they break up into small groups with regularity which helps mitigate that to a degree. In the running, but not necessarily ahead of SB or Hofstra to me right now.
Summary of Experience:
I like long island for being close to NYC but not nearly as crowded. Overall a good school in a very oddly shaped, confusing building. Interviews were relaxed, liked all the students I met.
Summary of Experience:
Fairly laid back interview. All facilities brand new, including GAL. Awkward curriculum (random weeks of clinical) and not the best location in the world. Solid fit, feeling good about acceptance.
