Summary of Application Experience
I enjoyed reading other people's MDApps as a way to learn more about the application process and keep myself from annoying all my friends by being obsessed with the application process. It draws you in way too much. Anyways, I decided to throw mine up even though it is late in the cycle just in case someone like me finds in enjoyable or informative.
Stats are above. ECs are the average mix but not spectacular. I was a very uninformed premed going into my junior year (oh I'll just get good grades and a good MCAT and I'll be fine), so when I read some med school admissions web sites that summer I decided to get moving. All of my research, and most of my volunteering started in the fall of my Junior year (so late starters, have hope, it can be done if you work hard). That said, I still got in long-term clinical volunteering, assorted non-clinical volunteering, and a ton of research (~1500 hours).
PM me or whatever it is they do on this site with any questions.
