Hospital Volunteering in patient relations: I\'ve been doing this since this summer and I\'m a patient shadower. I basically sit with the patient through their visit in the ED and evaluate the customer service of the employees and the overall experience.
Minimal physician shadowing: The only actual shadowing I have had was of an infectious disease specialty who only thought of it as a one time thing. I have one other one lined up but due to being employed I have been unable to get a whole lot of clinical experience.
