Brief Profile:
I\'ve been a competitive fencer for 5 years, a fencing coach for 1, and a licensed referee for 6 months. I was the vice president of my university fencing club for two years and am the current president. I have conducted cancer research in an immunology lab for a year, and was a mentor for a high school student in my lab last summer. I have an acknowledgement in a paper published in Cancer Research, but no authorships. I have 120 hrs. of shadowing with general practitioners, a colorectal surgeon, a plastic surgeon, and a gastroenterologist. I taught English for a month in China, and have traveled to Morocco and Turkey. I was a carpenter for 5 summers. I played the violin for 13 years.
