Brief Profile:
i'm filling this out because i find myself looking through a lot of profiles on here. i know it's not good to keep comparing yourself to other people (adds so much more stress.. at least for me.. as if i need more stress..), but you get a chance to see where you stand among the applicants and get an idea of how to choose schools to apply to. :D so thanks to everyone who keep their profiles updated~ i hope this helps some people!

Applying to mostly MD/PhD programs except for a few schools.
ECs: lots of volunteering at hospital lots of research (one published and one in review, both as middle authors, mid to high impact (?)) minimal shadowing (only a few hours.. ha) range of random activities including tutoring, teaching, volunteering, student publications... etc.
Submitted all secondaries before Aug. (except for Tufts and Northwestern, they are late in sending out secondaries)

Undergraduate college: University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
Summary of Experience:
Thoughts after interview: great campus, concentrated research facilities, kind of old hospital, about 30 min from downtown. talked to some awesome researchers, plenty of faculty in my area of interest. students were very smart and friendly people, 8th years were still so energetic. admin dedicated to help students. 1-4-3 curriculum

Thoughts after interview: facilities are one of the best, large hospitals and research facilities, nothing to complain about in both clinical and research training. students seem happy and hard working. really friendly admin that seems to make every effort to help guide students - already got lots of mentoring from them!

Thoughts after Interview: interviewers really grilled their interviewees, friendly admin and students, great hospital - very busy, extensive tour, not many faculty in my area of interest... sadly. good student housing. avg graduation time is a bit over 8 yrs

Thoughts after Interview: only two interviews, but plenty of faculty in my area of interest. students were relaxed and happy. emphasized large range of patient demographics. new med student housing (only for first years)
