Brief Profile:
I\'m a sorta non-trad student/ex-travelling musician (played South by Southwest Music Festival in 2008 and recorded an internationally distributed vinyl-only release with my indie/punk band in 2010). I\'ve held a few national leadership positions with AMSA\'s Race Ethnicity and Culture in Health action committee, including Heath Equity Week of Action steering committee chair, Grassroots regional coordinator, and currently on the committee for the 2012-2013 Cultural Sensitivity Scholars Program.
Helped coordinate the first and second years of the Indigenous Health Leadership Institute with the Native Health Initiative.
Worked two years in a neuro-path lab studying the role of APP in neural transport using mouse and giant squid models, relating these findings to Alzheimer\'s disease. Co-authored a full length paper, acknowledged in three more, and first authored to abstracts that were presented at Society for Neuroscience conference 2011 and 2012.
