Brief Profile:
Using MDapplicants to help future applicants like other helped me. Also very good way to keep track of progress and chaos throughout the process.

Summary of Experience:
Received a form that needs to be completed to explain my interest being an OOS applicant. 08/24 Email saying they have received my OOS reasoning, decision in 14 days. R: Not good enough OOS reasoning.
Summary of Experience:
Spoke about ISCOPES, and Health Policy Track. Very interested also in study abroad electives 4th year. Sent update about SPRI re-review update/interest 09/27
Summary of Experience:
Last year II was 9/12. Status Incomplete 08/19, check status tomorrow and call admissions office. Status complete 08/21. Update sent 09/27
Summary of Experience:
sent update about SPRI Sent update with additional two letters of recommendation Notification of II at 10:02 P.M. no date yet. Spokane campus surprised me and was really great. The smaller class size affords the students a more personal educational experience and some increased clinical opportunities. The interview was as expected tough with a difficult role play. Overall school is very good!
Summary of Experience:
SR: 08/09/12 Interview was very well run, although the presentations were a little...long. The one on one interview was very laid back, friendly medical school student, nice conversational questions. As for MMI there is no real way to prepare for it, aside from living life. Just be able to articulate your argument well and provide sound reasoning.
Summary of Experience:
SR: 08/09/12 Interview was very informative. I was really impressed by the research and clinical opportunities at UL and campus and city were outstanding.
Summary of Experience:
sent update about SPRI Interview went great very conversational. The interview day was very informative but slightly long in terms of presentations. Campus, school and opportunities available were all great.
My two sense for future applicants. Absolutely great school and great atmosphere. Personally, I was not a huge fan of the city, and the research opportunities and study abroad options made it less attractive to me. That being said still a great place to obtain your MD. I believe a key to being accepted post-interview at this school is updates and LOIs. They specifically sent you an email post interview asking you to update them on everything. Basically saying please tell us what you are doing so we know you are still interested. I think a failure to do so lands you on the waitlist. I could be off but I know both me a good friend who had previous acceptances when applying here and thus did not send updates/LOIs and thus were waitlisted. Know tohers who were on the ball with updates and LOIs who were accepted. Of course could just be because I was less qualified or performed less adequately on the interviews but I honestly believe they put a lot of stock in the students interest in the school.
Summary of Experience:
SR 09/4 To say it is Duke would pretty much sum up the interview day. Dr. Armstrong gave a very well spoken and to the point introduction. The whole day was very efficient, short financial aid presentation, and a very good summary of curriculum overview. They very much try and personalize the education for each individual student. MMI was good very laid back, and pretty stress free. Then to top it all off brand new 65 million dollar medical school building, very impressive overall.
Summary of Experience:
sent update about SPRI update/interest 09/27 Best interview experience thus far, great city, great school, students and faculty all just seem very happy.
Summary of Experience:
SR: 08/08/12. Waiting for application to be processed 08/19. sent update aboput SPRI Processed 09/26 send update by week's end with additional LOR Hold for interview either late December or early January Interview experience was probably most enjoyable thus far. Campus is amazing built into the hill, beautiful view and loved the history behind the foundation of the school. Great research opportunities and perhaps more important for me great chances to do rural experiences both in US and abroad (between MS1 and MS2). MMI questions were very complex but well thought out. Called for insightful and thoughtful responses. Now 6-8 weeks until a decision. Accepted, so excited to have the opportunity to stay in the NW! I will be matriculating!
