Currently I am working as a clinical research coordinator at a Children\'s Hospital (I graduated in May and am taking a gap year). While working I am volunteering as a tutor to inpatients and am a member of a research assistant development group.
MCAT: I chose not to take a prep class as I wanted to save the money and I was pretty sure I could be self-motivated. I used the ExamKrackers complete set and followed their online timeline (http://examkrackers.com/mcat/MCAT-HomeStudy.aspx) and actually did the ten weeks twice. I had a spreadsheet with what I was going to accomplish each week and kept a huge binder of all my practice test results and notes and everything. The highest I scored on a practice was 35.. and then surprise, 36 on the real thing!

Summary of Experience:
Withdrew after received acceptance to UVA- cannot see myself attending this school- too stats heavy/don\'t want to be away from the East Coast.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew after received acceptance to UVA- cannot see myself living in NY or attending this school. Only applied here to satisfy my grandparents who live in Rochester.
Summary of Experience:
Did not want to enjoy this school as much as I did because of the prohibitory COA. However, I really liked the curriculum particularly the structure of the exams (every 3 weeks and a blend of all the subjects on one exam). I love Boston (live here now) and would be happy staying here and attending Tufts, were it not so crazy expensive. Students also seem very happy and well taken care of.
Summary of Experience:
I liked Georgetown a lot on my interview day. The leanings towards service and the community are things that are important to me, although I disliked the more traditional curriculum and of course, the high COA. Not sure how I would rank GU if I were to receive an acceptance.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew after receiving acceptance to UVA. Very traditional curriculum and nothing exciting other than the health policy track.
Summary of Experience:
Absolutely in love with this school! The curriculum is amazing and the new medical education building is beautiful. Charlottesville is a charming town and I have family nearby.
