Summary of Application Experience
I am a non-traditional applicant and have spend the last two years since finishing my undergrad working part-time (non-medical), shadowing, and volunteering with organizations personally important to me. I applied broadly and to rural-focused programs because I knew that is where I ultimately want to be. Because of my MCAT scores, lack of research, and lack of medically-related work experience, I never dreamed of getting immediate acceptances to MD schools the first time around. I am so grateful and indescribably happy. It really feels amazing to know so many complete strangers believe in me and my dream!
Summary of Experience:
Another auto secondary. I was hesitant to submit it since there was no information to fill out, just another fee to pay. I never thought I would be disappointed to NOT have to write more essays :/.
Summary of Experience:
ETSU had a really thought-provoking secondary that I was looking forward to writing, but between other secondaries and interviews I just ran out of time. They have a surprisingly early deadline (sometime in September).
Summary of Experience:
No word for over a month. I really would have liked to tour the campus, but have already received acceptances from in-state schools.
Summary of Experience:
Turned down interview invite due to other acceptances and LMU\'s M3 & M4 rotations lottery. I didn\'t want to risk the possibility of having to move 7 hours away from family.
Summary of Experience:
Really excited to see the new Coal building! I have heard great things and known a lot of great physicians who graduated from KYCOM.
