I previously applied my junior year and I was very sloppy about it/didn\'t know what I was doing. I applied very late (verified September), with secondaries out by end of October.I ended with 2 interviews, one in state waitlist, one OOS rejection. I decided to take time to take an SMP to increase my grades and give me time to get more clinical exposure. I hope this application cycle will be MUCH different and I hope this MDapp can help you guys. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Summary of Application Experience
6/5/2012 Primary Application submitted 9:31 EST on first day AMCAS opened. Just started this MDApp as a reapplicant. I feel ten times stronger than the last time I applied so I'll see how it goes. 7/1/2012-Graduate Letter Packet Received by AMCAS, waiting on JHU Committee Letter to be sent out this week. 7/12/2012-JHU Committee Letter Sent out 7/19/2012-Received my first interview invite to Cooper Medical School on 7/19/2012!!! 7/24/2012- As of now submitted 28 secondaries/complete at these schools, waiting on 6 more schools to send secondaries, and waiting on Mayo/Vanderbilt to either reject me or screen me out. 8/6/2012-All secondaries submitted besides Tufts (still waiting for secondary) 8/7/2012-BU invite!!!! Guess my SMP here really did help 8/10/2012-Tufts finally came in, submitted and complete! Now the waiting game begins (plus preparing for interviews) 8/13/2012-UMDNJ-RWJMS Interview Invite!!! Saint Louis University Interview Invite!!! 8/24/2012-Creighton University Interview Invite!!! 8/28/2012-Drexel Interview Invite!!! 9/6/2012-CWRU Interview Invite!!! 9/7/2012-UMDNJ-NJMS Interview Invite!!! Now I've received all 3 state schools and my masters program school. Lets hope I can pull off an interview invite at my alma mater haha
So now that I've been accepted to the multiple schools I wanted to go to, I will most likely be withdrawing all of my applications besides the following schools: Emory, NYU, UVA, Hopkins, Columbia, Harvard. I will be sending update letters/LOI to those schools in the coming months. So far though I can't complain, received 10 interview invitations this early in the cycle, and found out I was going to medical school on 10/3. Now I can really relax rest of the year.
