Summary of Application Experience
All my secondaries were in by the last week in August. Applied to 11 schools, went on 7 interviews, 3 acceptances.
I actually had a lot of fun at the interview days. The waiting is the part that has been really hard. I\'m interested in rural medicine, so when I chose schools I first looked for locations/regions I really wanted to be in, then looked to see what schools offered rural medicine programs. I think the most important thing is to pick schools that really make you excited. I feel like in the cases where this was true, it really came through during my interviews.
Summary of Experience:
This was my first II and the first school I heard back from. Too bad because I have family in Milwaukee, but in all honesty I wasn\'t wowed by this school.
Summary of Experience:
I LOVED my interview day here. Campus is amazing, interviewers were really nice. Left here grinning and really hoping to get in. I also applied to their Rural Track, which I really liked.
Summary of Experience:
I applied to the Bassett Track here. I\'m not a city girl by nature, but I have to say, I totally loved Columbia. Sat in on a lecture and students were coming over to introduce themselves during breaks. Everyone I met was super laid-back and Dean Nicholas is fantastic.
Summary of Experience:
I liked Rush a lot when I visited. Leave extra time for traffic though, I doubled the Google Maps estimate and was still 15 min. late. Students were super-friendly. Love their new curriculum.
Summary of Experience:
Woohoo! First acceptance. I waited MUCH longer than the 2-3 weeks they estimated for my decision, and found out by checking my status page.
Summary of Experience:
I applied to the Maine Track here and loved it. So happy to get this acceptance! Only deterrent is the high price, but I would still be thrilled to end up here.
