Summary of Application Experience
Matriculating at Downstate. UCLA tends to prefer alcoholic sorority girls who volunteered in Mexico over people with high numbers for some reason. The undergrad is a great school, I graduated from there. But the medical school treats this process like a joke. I understand that some people with MCAT scores below 33 are intelligent, but UCLA is a top 15 school, and should act accordingly. Meaning, they should accept people that are worthy of admission (33 MCAT and above)
Also, while they might not accept as many alcoholics as the DGSOM at UCLA, UC Irvine tends to have a bias against people with high numbers as well, I know 7 people with MCAT scores above 37 who got waitlisted, UCI avg mcat is 32/33. Just giving you guys a heads up!
