Summary of Application Experience
august MCAT-er. submitted amcas mid-june, verified sometime in early july. LOR sent out by late july. complete at most schools mid-october (release of MCAT scores).
this process seriously SUCKS. it's a real blow to the ego. i mean, my stats aren't stellar, but i really didn't think that out of 20 schools and $2000-something i would only get ONE acceptance. i guess it was my GPA that hurt me, combined with being an August MCAT-er. i don't really understand how i could get some interviews at great schools, but then rejections from other more mediocre schools (many pre-inteview). this whole process is so random. but hey, i'm in at an AMAZING school that i'll be proud to attend... and i'm gonna be a doctor!
