Summary of Experience:
Found out I was put on pre-interview hold through status check. School never emailed me. Admissions staff were rude on the phone :-(
Summary of Experience:
Very unorganized interview day. Faculty interviewer was an hour late but was very friendly. He constantly told me how much he admired my work and how I NEED to come to Harvard and how Harvard needs students like me. Sure enough, I was rejected early March! My student interview probably did me in. Student interviewer acted like he didn\'t care.
Summary of Experience:
Annoyed but expected the waitlist given the school\'s policy. Loved PittMed and Pittsburgh, PA. One of my top choices. Hopefully will hear good news in the near future.
Summary of Experience:
Added this school to my AMCAS pretty late so I\'m pleasantly surprised with the interview invite on 12/8. Interviewing late January.
Summary of Experience:
Really enjoyed my tour of the facilities and simulation labs. I think this would be a wonderful place to learn medicine. Faculty care about your progress and offer individualized USMLE prep (apparently they plan your life to the hour!)
Summary of Experience:
Best interview and top choice. The interview day really showed me what the Yale System means. It\'s not just P/F, it\'s a school wide belief that we are mature and responsible students. My student host was developing software and managing his start up while in medical school. This would be the perfect place for me.
Accepted on March 13th, but did not get even a penny in financial aid. As much as I would like to go to Yale, I cannot justify the 280K in loans I will have to take. It\'s too bad they don\'t offer merit-based financial aid; they are going to lose a lot of qualified students to more generous schools.
