Summary of Experience:
Have my Master\'s degree from Harvard, so I definitely love the University, but I\'ve begun to feel that a med school with such an academic focus is not for me. I\'m not into making research my number 1 priority, and they seem to be pushing that with the new scholarly project requirement.
Summary of Experience:
Surprisingly not sad at all when rejected. My GBF is a PhD student there and loves it, but I\\\'m not a research lover the way he is. Figured out that I\\\'m definitely looking for a school more focused on the undeserved than research.
Summary of Experience:
Love Dartmouth and Hanover, but at this stage couldn\\\'t really see myself living there for 4 years. As a nontrad, I ended up not really feeling like it was the experience I was looking for. Not really heartbroken when I didn\\\'t get in.
Summary of Experience:
Wasn\'t that wowed by UMass. They spent a lot of time pitching that it is cheaper than the other 3 Mass Med School (which it is of course!). Didn\'t get the sense that the education I was going to get was going to put me in a great spot for residency. They have a new curriculum and been having some issues with it, which also made me nervous.
Summary of Experience:
Had the worst interview here. The doc that interviewed me basically verbally attacked me and told me that he didn\'t believe I wanted to be a doctor. Maybe he wanted to see how I was under pressure, but he succeeded in turning me off to the school. The students were unenthusiastic as well.
Wasn\'t surprised by the rejection, and I couldn\'t be happier NOT to be going here.
Summary of Experience:
Love, love, love. I was already impressed with BUSM before I interviewed, and they really wowed on interview day. With BMC as the safety net hospital for Boston and busiest trauma center in New England, this seem like a perfect fit for me.
