Brief Profile:
Second-Time Applicant. Applied first time with an MCAT of 31S (PS: 12, VR: 08, BS: 12, taken after my sophomore year of college).
My calculated GPA doesn\'t take into consideration that like 30 of the credits are from classes I took WHILE in high school... how stupid.
Experience Summary:
-After graduating, worked as an accountant. -Volunteered hundreds of hours in a hospital and free clinic for homeless youth. -Study abroad in Middle East (summer). -Shadowed lots of doctors (different types and in different countries). -Bench research for like a year and a half. -Club Rowing (during college and after) and Club Lacrosse (after college). -Server for 2 years during college. -Tutored and TAd ochem (amongst other classes). -Intern/Volunteer in Cairo (summer). -Exchange student to Italy (senior year of high school).
Diversity Essay Topics:
-Gay male (was out on the diversity essay AND the primary; I recommend all gays do such). -Religious minority (atheist; I think this might be indirectly stated on a couple diversity essays). -Lived as a racial minority in the Middle East (white; and I know this sounds weird but you really are treated differently).
LORs:
-From doctors I shadowed, volunteer supervisors, and teachers (one of which was my PI).

I learned a lot the first time I went through this process and it definitely helped during the second time. Any questions, PM me on SDN.
I\'m proud to say that I\'m going to be a BLUE DEVIL!!! GO DUKE!!!!!!
Summary of Experience:
They emailed me to fill out the secondary and then 5 minutes later emailed me to tell me that was a mistake and they meant to reject me... seriously? lol
Summary of Experience:
I can\'t say I\'m a fan of their iPhone app... It really doesn\'t tell you anything new that the website doesn\'t. If they want to be more transparent, they should tell you were your application actually is (aka 1/3 readers have read it... ready for adcom...etc.).
Summary of Experience:
Amazing school. At the beginning of the cycle I would have loved to go here; however, as the 8-10 weeks they projected to hear back turned into >20, the enthusiasm quickly died.
