Summary of Application Experience
Giant waste of $1,100 in out-of-state (Non-Texas) applications.
Interviewed at Houston and Galveston last year but did not get in. These two schools didn\'t even interview me this year even though my application was better (higher GPA, more clinical and non-clinical volunteering, more shadowing, more research, a lot better personal statement).
I\'m wary of drawing a moral out of this since the process can be so random, but don\'t apply until you are really ready to? Or you need a big improvement to get a second interview at the same school? I dunno.
laxianbuddy took the old MCAT and scored a which is in the percentile of all old scores.
We converted this to a on the updated scale which is in the percentile of the updated MCAT. We also converted laxianbuddy’s section scores as follows:
laxianbuddy scored a 12 on the Biological Science section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 130 on the Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems.
laxianbuddy scored a 11 on the Physical Science section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 128 on the Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems.
laxianbuddy scored a 13 on the Verbal Reasoning section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 132 on the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills.
