Brief Profile:
State of residence: VA cGPA: 3.72 with upward trend sGPA: 3.69 MCAT: first time was 32S (P: 9, V: 12, B: 11), second time was 33S (P: 11, V: 9, B: 13)
PS: probably as best as it was going to get. i had 20+ people edit it including friends, family, coworkers, bosses, my professors, english teachers, med students, doctors, etc.
LORs: 1) science #1- took two notoriously hard classes with him and got a\'s in both, went to his office hours every week, i was one of the first students he got to know in my classes 2) science #2- took one class with him and got an a, went to office hours every week, ta\'ed with him, still on really good terms 3) non-science- took five classes with him (lol) + a\'s in all of them, was in an honors seminar/section type thing with him, also went to lots of office hours, also do volunteer work with him 4) research PI- met with him 2x per week, worked on an indp project with him, he called me \"the best undergrad our lab\'s ever had\"
most significant ECs: research (3 yrs, did independent project, no pubs but that was mostly because a project failed for two yrs before my PI moved me to another one... and i discussed this in my app a bit), TAing, and student council leadership positions (was on council for 2 years, held at least 4 ish positions overall, did a ton of things like oversaw/ran/planned an event of 1000+ ppl, budgets, designed merch, publicity, etc.)
other ones: premed org where i also had a lot of leadership roles + did volunteer work, shadowing, pbk and other honors, my jobs (where i worked at all 3 yrs of undergrad + discussed this too because i\'m an OOS student so i needed to work for loans/bills)
gap year activities (+ and i\'ve sent update letters to those i could): working full-time in a lab with publication coming soon, volunteering in ER, hosting book discussions for pregnant/parenting teens, volunteering in a classroom for homeless children, on the college relay for life planning committee, volunteer in a free clinic in mexico
