Letters of Recommendation: Committee letter - Meh, the interview did not go so well. Need to practice before interviewing season starts 1 from research mentor - Sent the day after I requested it, worried that it may have been rushed 1 from biology seminar prof - Spent an hour discussing my application with her, hopefully she was able to write some insightful comments 1 from a sociology prof - Known her all 4 years of undergrad through various capacities, pretty sure it was a strong rec 1 from a French prof - Also knew her all 4 years of undergrad; I know it was a very strong rec because she told me I was one of her favorite students

6/15/2011: Submitted AMCAS with 4 schools 6/28/2011: AMCAS verified 7/6/2011: MCAT 8/9/2011: MCAT score released; Committee letter submitted to AMCAS 8/10/2011: Added 16 schools to AMCAS 9/11/2011: Added 5 more schools to AMCAS 9/12/2011: 1st interview invite!! MSU!! :-D 9/19/2011: 1st rejection...UChicago. Well, I heard they reject pretty quickly... 9/20/2011: Attended interview at MSU GR campus 9/26/2011: Rejected pre-secondary from Vandy 10/2/2011: Rejected from BU...aww man now it\'s starting to hurt. :-( 10/4/2011: Interview invite from Oakland!! Yay this is just what I was hoping for this week. :-D 10/11/2011: Rejected pre-secondary (or I suppose pre-interview since they don\'t have a real secondary (or at least that\'s what I tell myself)) from IU

10/2...Still no secondary...hmmm is this a silent rejection? 11/30...nearly December and still no secondary. I think it\'s safe to say that I\'m not getting one...

No midwest love?!? Ok, I know it\'s not the same as IS, but I won\'t lie...I was expecting something. But then I found out that they only send requests for supplemental material for applicants that they are going to interview, so it made me feel a little better about never getting a secondary.
Summary of Experience:
1st rejection...didn\'t hurt at all as I expected it. I\'m glad that I can start narrowing down my huge list and have a better idea of where I might end up next year!
