Summary of Application Experience
I am thankful to have been accepted to the top two schools I interviewed at. The admissions process is truly hard to predict. I think it really depends on your fit for each school and how you present yourself on your application and interview. You can have all the accomplishments in the world but if you do not know how to sell yourself on your application, you'll have a hard time getting accepted.
My advice would be to never sacrifice quality for turning in an application early. Obviously you do not want until the last minute, but take your time working on your primary and secondary applications. You want to do your best on every secondary because you never know which school is going to give you a chance. Try to do everything 100% even when you are bogged down with 20+ secondaries.
Summary of Experience:
UCLA gave me a really late interview but ended up accepting me. I think working at UCLA and having a strong LOR from my boss/PI made a big difference. I actually liked the MMI much more than the traditional interview. I feel more comfortable with the MMI because I don't have to talk about myself as much.
Summary of Experience:
I love this school so much but it is hard to turn down the UCLA offer. UCLA is much cheaper to attend and close to all my friends, family, church and girlfriend.
