Summary of Application Experience
First ever in my family to pursue a Career as a Doctor MD or DO. I decided to apply to both because I was interested in both. I knew that I was more competitive at DO schools than MD schools, but felt that I was interested in both because of different reasons. OMM for me is exciting. I shadowed a DO who actively uses OMM in his practice as a Family Practitioner. He was great and very influential in me applying to DO schools. Ultimately, however, I have been looking for what will be the best for me and my wife and kids.
Summary of Experience:
Didn\'t complete the secondary at this school because I felt more interested in the other schools, and was concerned that it wasn\'t yet fully accredited.
Summary of Experience:
Submitted Secondary here the same day that I submitted it to Midwestern AZCOM. I was invited to interview at AZCOM but not CCOM. Maybe because I\'m from AZ, but honestly don\'t know for sure why.
Summary of Experience:
Reach school. (They are very slow to make any decisions). Gotta be PATIENT.
Update: 21/Feb/2012 I received an invitation to interview! Totally unexpected! WOO HOO!!!
Although OHSU is a great school. I ultimately decided that I wanted to go to IUSM, and decided not to attend the interview. Still totally psyched that I was invited to interview!
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew my application on 20/Dec/2011 pre-interview because I was accepted at ATSU-SOMA and knew that I would prefer this program to TOURO- CA. An old classmate of mine that is studying in the DO program there gave me his honest opinion of the school and with this and through studying about the school on their own website and student forum, I decided I would be a better fit at ATSU- SOMA.
Summary of Experience:
Great school. Great program. I really like the Multiple Mini Interview format that I experienced at both UA campuses. Tucson was a little weak on selling the school however (an ipad app is NOT a good replacement for excited students and faculty discussing the strengths of the school).
Summary of Experience:
I was really impressed by UA phoenix. Everyone seemed totally excited by the school and where it\'s going. Personally, after interviewing at both here and UA in Tucson, I would pick Phoenix if I had to between the two. Have to admit, it hurt a bit to be rejected, but I\'m glad I was accepted at IU!
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew the day after my interview because I was notified of my acceptance to Indiana University that I interviewed at Midwestern AZCOM. Both are great schools, I just preferred Indiana, and knew it would be best for me.
Summary of Experience:
I totally wasn\'t expecting to hear much from this school! I was shocked when I was invited to interview (from out of state) and even more so when I was accepted! I guess it goes to show you anything can happen. (Awesome school btw - by far the best that I interviewed at IMO).
Summary of Experience:
Beautiful facilities. Great people here. I really enjoyed interviewing here. I asked for my interview decision to be expedited because I had the 1,000 deposit due at ATSU SOMA the next week and felt that DMU was a better match. They were awesome and let me know the Wednesday after the Friday I interviewed (They usually take 2 or 3 weeks). The same day I was accepted at DMU, I was accepted at Indiana. I knew what I wanted and withdrew from this school the next day.
Summary of Experience:
ATSU- SOMA has a very Unique program. The first year is in Mesa and then you move to one of 10 Community Health Centers (assigned through a match) and continue the rest of your training there. Honestly, it was a very impressive program with a strong emphasis on serving the underserved, it just didn\'t fit my situation well.
