RESEARCH: -1.5 years in a developmental neurobiology lab with a focus on cloning. Taken as independent research for class credit -Summer internship at a CyberKnife Center completing clinical research, lots of chart searches and data entry. -Summer internship at a hospital research center doing human molecular genetics research
VOLUNTEER: -Volunteer over 500 hours at a local hospital at the front desk, surgical recovery floor, and emergency room. -Volunteer EMT-B for a student-run EMS at my undergrad institution
SHADOWING: -30 hours with a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and his physician\'s assistant, in the operating room as well as clinical patient observations -30 hours with a family practice physician\'s assistant, saw lots of physicals
I have been on the Dean\'s List every semester, am part of a service fraternity on campus, and am an avid long distance runner and biker (have completed a half marathon and am currently training for a full).
