Brief Profile:
AMCAS & AACOMAS submitted on 6/1/2011. Applied lethally too late last cycle. Second-time applicant. I am praying an early application will make the difference!
Perhaps I am too candid in my comments, so I\'m keeping my stats private until the process is over. Thank you for looking!

Summary of Application Experience
6/4/2011 Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I am going into this process with average numbers, but I am trusting one institution will consider me worthy of an acceptance. Over the past year I\'ve learned I cannot lean on my own qualifications and merits. God is so much bigger than my flaws; so Lord-willing, we\'ll see some miracles.
***My applications are in Your hands; may Your Will be done. Amen.***
6/8/2011 Fourth and final transcript arrives!
6/9/2011 AMCAS & AACOMAS start processing my applications. Hooray!
6/17/2011 AMCAS Verified! Huzzah! :] Two secondaries already in my email box; obviously unscreened. Here we go!
6/20/2011 AACOMAS Verified!
6/27/2011 I received a lot of secondaries over the last week and I\'m a little behind the schedule I set for myself. Let\'s bust out some more essays! YARG!
7/2/2011 I\'m already getting discouraged. This is my second time applying to medical school and I\'m afraid I\'ll never get in anywhere. I don\'t have a back-up plan except go to the Caribbean if U.S. schools reject me this time around. If it\'s any kind of consolation for myself, I\'m applying much, much earlier than last time. But still.
7/3/2011 OK, today I am feeling better. I just have to keep going forward. I can\'t change what happened last cycle, but I can certainly effect this cycle!
7/13/2011 I am a bit of a slower writer. My hat goes off to people who submit a secondary in less than a week. I\'m giving myself two weeks turn-around time. Fortunately, I am now not as inundated with secondaries so I foresee being finished soon.
7/15/2011 Last LoR posted in AMCAS! Sweet relief!
7/20/2011 I am starting to burn out after filling out so many apps. Nevertheless, I am still optimistic these days.
7/23/2011 I am looking forward to when I am done with all the secondaries. Almost there!
8/23/2011 1 MD & 5 DO interview invites. I don\'t know why God is blessing me so much during this process. Nevertheless, all the glory goes to Him! Thank you, Jesus for your providence thus far!
8/26/2011 Oh. My. Goodness. One secondary left! (That is, unless UCSF or UCLA show me some love.) Wow, what an awesome day: two more interview invites!
8/30/2011 Last secondary finished today! W00T! Off to my first interview in two days!
8/31/2011 Another MD interview invite! God, what are you doing? I\'m just so blown away.
9/10/2011 I am looking forward to the next interview in a few days! Let\'s do this! :D
9/19/2011 Am flying out again for a series of three interviews this week! Can\'t believe I just finalized the rest of my travel arrangements less than 24 hours before departure! Being your own travel agent is hard work! :P
10/10/2011 Phew. I finally get a few weeks respite from all the traveling I have done over the last month. It\'s been such a whirlwind but it\'s been so much fun! God has abundantly blessed me with such delightful interview experiences! I have to admit, the interview process has been great fun! And, I am holding my breath for October 15th for the first day of MD schools decisions! I can hardly wait!
10/14/2011 Too bad October 15th is a Saturday--I will have to wait for the regular mail this week to learn any news. Almost done waiting! Eee!
10/15/2011 I logged into my web portals hoping to see a change in status. Still under review... Mailman, please deliver my letters soon! Nevertheless, I feel at peace though--like the \"peace that surpasses understanding.\"
10/18/2011 One web portal says, \"Correspondence Sent\"!! Eek! The other web portal says that a decision is pending... Eek! Mailman, please hurry up! I am almost beside myself with anticipation! Peace-filled anticipation--that is.
11/8/2011 Checked another web portal that says a final decision has letter has been sent. Eek! I am so nervous. Mr. Postman, please take your time!
11/26/2011 Sent in my deposit for Drexel. Am gonna be an MD! What an answer to prayer! And what a display of God\'s favor and grace! Praise Him! I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
1/13/2012 Happy New Year! BUSM emailed me last week to inform that they have deferred making a final decision on my application until March! Woohoo! Made it through another bottleneck! I can still dream can\'t I? Praise God for whatever happens!
3/30/2012 Waitlisted at BUSM! So close, but still what an honor! BUSM told us that the waitlist was small so I\'m excited that they like me enough to keep me on their minds! Even if it doesn\'t work out, Drexel here I come!
6/3/2012 Thank you friends for watching my application process! I could not have done this without your support. May God receive all the glory as He has given me entrance to medical school this fall!

Summary of Experience:
I respect the pre-secondary rejection. It\'s merciful and direct.
Summary of Experience:
8/30: Still under review--which I guess is good news, right?
9/10: My feelings aren\'t hurt. This application process can seem like a crapshoot though. Last year they gave me a secondary. Oh well. I am pretty much over writing secondary essays.
10/18: I appealed and UCSF gave me a secondary. We\'ll see where this one goes...
1/13: Didn\'t have high hopes for this one anyway. No hurt feelings.
7/6/2011: Found out that my research adviser\'s letter does not count as a science letter. I am hoping Tulane will still be flexible about it. However, I submitted a second science professor\'s letter which will get me up to four letters. I hope this does not reflect poorly on my application.
Summary of Experience:
SR: 7/14 Wow! What a pleasant surprise! I smiled wide when I saw the invitation.
8/6: UCSD is definitely a top choice/reach but I\'m hopeful nonetheless.
1/18/12: Placed on interview hold for possible interview invitation in February.
2/4/12: Received email that people on interview hold are being reviewed for possible interview. I know I\'m a good fit for UCSD--I sure hope they interview me!
Summary of Experience:
7/12: Got an email informing that I will receive a secondary when it opens later in July. I teared up when I saw this one-I would love to be a Gator!
7/20: Submitted the online professional school app.
7/28: Got an email that the secondary app will go live sometime next week. I\'m still stoked about qualifying to fill out the secondary!
8/10: Per email, received the secondary prompts. It was nice of UF COM to provide them for us prior to the release of the online application. :)
8/15: SR received!
8/30: Last secondary! Yippee!
2/4/12: Received email that I am still under consideration for potential interview. May or may not receive a phone call. Ah! This happened last year and they didn\'t call me! I\'d love to interview here!
Summary of Experience:
SR: 7/15 I was really hoping for this one to come soon.
8/6: This application is paper-based. Surprising.
8/9: Paper application delivered.
8/10: Letters delivered.
10/31: Withdrew from interview. Just wasn\'t excited about the school and already have 4 acceptances at DO schools I prefer. I hope someone else can take my interview spot instead.
8/15: FIRST MD INTERVIEW INVITE!!! I cried so many joyful tears when I saw the email! Praise Jesus!
9/13: Today was Temple\'s first day of interviews. Wow, this experience was like night and day compared to NSU. There were two interviews: one with faculty and one with a current student. All the interviews went fantastically--like real conversations! I wanted to go here before, but now I can\'t wait until October 15th when decisions are released! I\'ll just have to hold my breath until then!
7/22: I wanted to submit my application today but my letters first need to upload to the BUSM supp app webpage. Alas.
8/26: Unbelievable--I can hardly wrap my head around it! This was my pie-in-the-sky school and I was too afraid to even hope for an interview. God, what are You doing?
10/31: I LOVED BUSM! An acceptance seems like a longshot, but I am grateful to even have had the chance to interview--such an honor and privilege!
I\'ve called NSU several times because I haven\'t yet received an \"application complete\" email. They keep telling me they have everything though. Hrm.
8/3: I guess they had everything. I was jumping up and down when I got the invite! :D
9/6: Interview Impressions My interviewer asked me some tough questions, but I hope I was able to leave a positive impression. I absolutely loved the other interview candidates--we had such great group chemistry! It would be such an honor to have them as future colleagues! Overall, I loved the campus, and I loved the community atmosphere. I know I\'m a great fit for Nova and here\'s to hoping they think so too!
9/19: The interview was so hard. I can hardly believe it! First Interview and First Acceptance!!
8/23: SWEET! One of my favorite DO schools! God has already been so good to me this cycle! What have I done to deserve this? The admissions people called to extend the interview invitation. I gotta say that\'s pretty cool.
