Summary of Application Experience
Now that the application cycle is over, I\'m finally starting an MDapps page. I wanted to stay anonymous until I was absolutely sure where I was going to medical school. I will be attending Western next year and I can\'t wait! A year ago I would have said that I wanted to go to an MD school because I just didn\'t know much about DO schools. When I got my MCAT scores back, I reconsidered the DO path, did some research and shadowing, and decided to apply. That was the best decision I\'ve ever made! When I interviewed at Western, I knew that it was the school for me. It just felt right. When it came down to it, MD vs DO wasn\'t an issue. It was really about which school I felt was going to give me the best education, in an environment where I felt I could thrive. For me, that was Western. There are some MD schools I would have attended over Western, there are some I would not.
I wanted to post my stats and info for future applicants who may find this info helpful. As a California resident with so so stats, the med school application process was especially tough. It can wear you down, so just be sure to keep yourself busy throughout the year if you aren\'t in school. Find a job or a hobby, get regular exercise, hang out with friends, try not to go crazy. Ultimately, you will end up where you are meant to be.

Summary of Experience:
Apparently they don\'t send secondaries to applicants out of state who have an MCAT < 30
Summary of Experience:
If they send you an email recommending you retake your MCAT, don\'t bother submitting the secondary unless you actually plan on retaking the test. They will just cash your check, then reject you.
Summary of Experience:
Was super bummed to get rejected here. They kept me in limbo for so long! After getting accepted to Western/COMP, this was the only MD school I still wanted to go to. Ohwell, second choice isn\'t bad :)
Summary of Experience:
They never actually rejected me. In fact, I never heard a peep after submitting the secondary. I think they heavily favor applicants in the New York area.
Summary of Experience:
I received the interview invite after being accepted to AZCOM. I was confident that I wouldn\'t attend over AZCOM so I cancelled the interview.
Summary of Experience:
Western is the school for me! After walking out of my interview, I knew that\'s where I was going to go. I just knew it. I can\'t wait to start!!!
