Summary of Application Experience
I applied to both MD and DO schools a couple years after undergrad- needed some time off to get some bills paid off and take a break from school!
GRADES: Good, I think. Several withdrawals on my transcript that were explained in my personal statement and not even brought up at my interviews. Didn't turn out to be as big of a deal as I feared. Not my exact grades, for anonymity.
MCAT: On the low end of my practice test scores. I studied three months using the famed SN2ed method. First time, no retakes planned for this cycle, I want to see how everything pans out. Not my exact score, for anonymity.
RESEARCH: I did a couple of research internships in undergrad, and work as a clinical research assistant now. Although the research itself was only discussed in a couple of interviews, my experiences gave me a lot of perspective.
Summary of Experience:
Received an email saying that I was strongly advised to retake MCAT to remain competitive...not planning to do so, saved some $$ and didn't submit this secondary.
Summary of Experience:
Would have really liked to check out this school but with already having significant undergrad debt, I couldn't justify the cost.
Summary of Experience:
I guess about 70-80% of people are getting wait listed so I'm not taking it personally! Wasn't blown away by this school anyway...
