Lots of community service, shadowing, volunteering, and research 1 publication in submission (waiting to be accepted), listed as 3rd author, three abstracts (one listed as second author) Multiple community service awards from community centers and one from a major hospital President and secretary of a cultural club as undergrad Worked on a website one summer geared towards people suffering from brain tumors, attended brain tumor conference Not URM but parents both came from another country and I grew up economically disadvantaged (had to pay my way through college, grew up without healthcare, received government aid, etc) Worked a couple of years post-college in order to financially support myself and my family (and let\'s be honest, to pay for these applications!) Sigma Xi research society induction Over 250 volunteer hours as a patient ambassador (I loved the patient contact and have so many fond memories!!)
