Volunteer - Some paid and volunteer tutoring (about 1000 hours combined). Hospice Care (60hrs) and local free clinic (100hrs) Extracurriculars - VP of Finance for Post-Bacc AMSA club. Student Body Vice President for Post-Bacc. Shadowing 5 docs with a total of around 130hrs (combined, not each...average like 30hrs each..)

After getting accepted to Iowa, it completely changed my willingness to interview at schools. Basically OHSU and Pitt were the only places I was willing to travel to, along with In state schools

This was the first rejection that really hurt. Man, I fell in love with this place. It was an honor to simply make it to the interview! Would have been amazing if I got accepted.
