Summary of Application Experience
I am really appreciative of the consideration shown to me by UT and Meharry. Hopefully they will see that I do have what it takes to become a doctor. Obviously, they saw something to offer me an interview. None of this was possible without GOD, so I thank HIM first for even allowing my goals to transpire. SO THANKFUL!!!
I could have not imagined that I would be in the posiiton that I am at this time. One word: BLESSED. If it\'s meant to happen it will and I am not taking it for granted. I am definitely not the typical accepted medical school applicant. To those who are doubting yoursleves, stay focused and be prepared to work for what you want. If it\'s meant to be it will be, whether sooner or later. Good luck to everyone!
Summary of Experience:
Overall, interview day was good and organized. Everyone was friendly and helpful. However, I wasn\'t as impressed as I thought I would be. The interviews were relaxed, but I felt as though I was trying to prove to them why I shoud be in their \'exclusive\' club rather than just giving them more information about me. The tour wasn\'t very informative and I left still really not knowing about Meharry.
Recieved a call saying that i was offered a spot and had to make a decision that day. I had not recieved any correspondence from them since my waitlist. However, I had already decided to go with you UT. Their program begins 6/20, so not much time to get settled. But if it was my only option I would be there in a heartbeat!
Summary of Experience:
My experience definitely exceeded my expectations. The day started with an overview and then interviews were throughout the day with a student tour before lunch. I was extremely impressed with UT and the overall day was extremely informative. Everyone was more than helpful and encouraging. I had wonderful interviewers and actually enjoyed my interview experiences. The tour was also nice and I was really able to see what the school had to offer.
3/511: Sooo thankful to be accepted to medical school!! I can hardly believe it. It is a contigent acceptance based on how well I perform in a pre-matriculation program this summer. However, I plan to do well!! GOD has brought me this far and HE will take me farther!
