Accepted by 1: Penn State!! :-)
I am very excited and grateful to have been accepted there and I already love the school. I still have to hear back from the 15 other schools, but I\'ll be more than happy to attend Penn State in the fall!
My advice: You can still get into med school with a sub-30 MCAT score but an otherwise competitive application (good GPA, clinical experience, leadership, research, etc), but it\'s a lot harder and very difficult if you want to get into a school notorious for a high MCAT average.
To be the most competitive, however, retake the MCAT if you have a less than 30 score. I didn\'t sit for the exam again due to an intense summer research experience and also because I thought taking a September MCAT would make my application \'late.\' Don\'t worry about being a \'late\' applicant. It is better to apply in October with a 30 or higher MCAT than August with a lower MCAT score.
I made this profile soley to give hope to those like me with a lower MCAT but otherwise good application. You can get accepted!! Good luck to you all!!
