Summary of Experience:
Crickets since submitting secondary. It\'s April now and I still haven\'t even seen an e-mail from them (no rejection, no interview, no complete e-mail, just silence).
Summary of Experience:
Like 10k applicants, rejected. I thought I wrote a great secondary app here too. Lots of compelling reasons to move to Boston. Such is life.
Summary of Experience:
Still waiting to hear from Jeff, but really loved this school. I came in with so-so expectations, but can definitely say this is one of my Tier 1 or Tier 2 schools. They have a huge alum network, tons of different opportunities, and a great cultural/social life in Philly. Big contrasts to some of the other schools I applied to, but still fascinated me. Student host was in a medical fraternity; definitely a different pre-interview hosting experience!
Summary of Experience:
The alma mater! Hail all hail Cornell! Never thought I would enjoy the upper east side as much as I did. Definitely stay on a futon on the floor of a student host if you interview here. I had a great time at Cornell and look forward to hearing back from them in a few months.
Summary of Experience:
Absolutely in love with NOLA, but the school was not top on my list. Held the acceptance for a few months, but withdrew after Mayo/Case. I\'ll be kicking my ass next year when it is -15 degrees and snowing next year in October...
Summary of Experience:
Children\'s Hospital (CHKD) is amazing. Had no idea what type of facilities this school had to offer before interviewing. I withdrew after a few other acceptances, but was nevertheless very impressed all around.
Summary of Experience:
Definitely near the top of the list. People here are very passionate, and it showed during all aspects of the interview day. The big catch is that there is only CWRU and CCLCM in the Cleveland area, so as a student you basically have the entire city\'s hospital network at your disposal (as opposed to anywhere in NYC). Very important during 3rd and 4th years!
Summary of Experience:
First interview; it happened during August. MMI format, lots of fun but very taxing. These guys have a great program and facilities set up. Still a ways to go before being a \"known quantity\" but it was obvious that they have a great program established.
Summary of Experience:
Nothing short of the dream. Even the sidewalks sparkle here. Disneyland for doctors. Hogwarts of medical schools. Its all true. Minus the miserable Minnesota winters, I couldn\'t imagine a better place to study medicine (perhaps the weather is a plus in this case?). From a \"best value\" perspective, I don\'t think you can find a better deal out there. Even if it cost me an arm and a leg, I\'d still attend. I can\'t even explain how much I enjoy this school.
Summary of Experience:
Accepted! They lost all of my personal information, gave me a free year of credit monitoring, and then accepted me the next day. Maybe a guilt trip? Who knows...
