Brief Profile:
Here is a little bit about me: - couple hospital volunteer positions (100+ hours each) and research for over a year - GPA close to a 4.0, MCAT of 37 (transferred from a community college though)
I think I have a couple things working against me even though I have decent stats, which is my EC activities are kind of meager and I spent a long time at my JC where I took my prereqs at too). Was hoping life experience (dealt with serious illness) would help and is the reason I was at my JC so long, but I dunno. I should have probably used the disadvantaged section to mention that more clearly, but at the time felt like it would be making excuses and also thought I touched on it a little in my PS, so decided not to. Will probably update this with more detailed info after cycle over. Good luck to everyone else!

Summary of Application Experience
Been pretty stressful, but visiting all these places for interviews has been fun too. Wish I wasn\'t on hold for interviews at so many places, but I guess its better than a rejection..
Summary of Experience:
When I first picked this school, I didn\'t know too much about it. After looking more into it for the secondary, it really grew on me. Unfortunately, haven\'t heard anything for a long while now
Summary of Experience:
Where I went to undergrad, all the med students from here i\'ve talked to seem really happy with their choice. I spoke with one of the admissions people at a conference though and they said that I\'m probably on hold considering how early i submitted but haven\'t heard anything yet. got to wait till January
Summary of Experience:
heard a lot of good things about this school. never been to st. louis although a friend of mine goes here for undergrad and had only good things to say about it.
Summary of Experience:
hoping to hear something from ucla, i know they were late in starting interviews, so hoping I still have a decent chance. sent a letter of interest, guess we\'ll see if it helps anything
Summary of Experience:
school is fairly close to home for me. considering I am particularly interested in pursuing research (but not looking to do an MD/PhD) i think this school would be great for me (if i get an interview :P )
Summary of Experience:
where i was born! and also where my dad got his phd. lots of friends down there too, but still haven\'t heard anything from here. Think I\'m on hold
Summary of Experience:
this was my top choice. i\'ve actually been a patient at their hospital for a rather serious illness and I think that made this school that much more attractive. appealing the decision, but from what i\'ve heard (directly from the dean) the chances are very low for an interview, so not expecting anything.
Summary of Experience:
Interviewed here in mid November, really liked it. Liked the PBL demo and could really see myself here. Got an e-mail saying they are pushing a decision on my app back to March though. Crossing my fingers for an acceptance
Summary of Experience:
My first interview, was pretty nervous and not sure how well I did, but ended up on waitlist (which is good because they usually send OOS to waitlist first). Sent a letter of interest, but I should probably send another e-mail soon to let them know I\'m still interested. A little pricey, but I really liked the curriculum here and the students were super friendly (esp. my host). would love to go here
Summary of Experience:
Really liked this school, the pstp program sounds perfect for me. Was told 2/3rds of last year\'s class moved off waitlist, so hoping this will turn into an acceptance! They also said if ur interested to keep sending them things periodically to let them know
