Brief Profile:
I have been EXTREMELY blessed and lucky, and ended up admitted to the school that\'s been my dream school since day 1. I root for everyone else on here- my advice: Be Passionate and Gracious and you can get where you want! If I can do it anyone who really wants it can do it too.
Strong ECs including 4 year varsity athletics, strong research, some unique activities not really from American Samoa (haha) keeping semi-anonymous Was complete as soon as my committee letter was released. If you visit my page, leave a message, and feel free to ask questions!

Summary of Application Experience
What I Learned- grades aren\'t everything- know yourself, your goals, your app, you can get in! Strengths of my app I think would be ECs, Letters (I think if letters can be truly personal/unique they can be quite important) and Essays- I put real heart and effort into all of them, even ones that were short or seemed like weird prompts. Weaknesses- GPA. Obviously. Clinical volunteering lacking compared to other ECs and what seems to be the norm for med schools- but if there\'s one thing I\'ve learned and would want to pass on, there is no formula here. Be yourself and do what you love, and you\'ll succeed!
I made this in the hopes that others with lower GPAs might feel encouraged and I hope it might help someone- I don\'t post on SDN but saw some people post with similar stats to mine and felt discouraged... but it all worked out so far better than I could have EVER hoped, especially given what outside sources would say. Believe in yourself!
Summary of Experience:
Just for reference to anyone interested in Downstate, as of May 2 I have still not been officially rejected, I\'ve heard no word from them all year. Silent rejections are silly.
Summary of Experience:
Very strange, not sure what happened here- only post interview rejection and I actually thought it was perhaps the best interview of my season...
Oh well who cares, going to Emory!!!!! Illinois does this very weirdly and didn\'t give me a final decision until June, just FYI for those applying.
Summary of Experience:
was on the upper half of the upper third in a position where I was told I\'d be sure to have an eventual offer- this made me feel I should withdraw now so that others can move up the list
Summary of Experience:
AH!! DEFINITELY GOING HERE dream school since day 1. I have been SO lucky, I only hope for everyone else they can end up at choice #1 too :) I am in shock.
Summary of Experience:
\"preferred alternate\" list; accepted!!! i have a week to make this decision... hofstra was pretty amazing ...
UPDATE: withdrew. Maryland makes more sense for me, but I do think that being part of the inaugural class at Hofstra will be an amazing experience for those who attend
Summary of Experience:
A lot of love to my first acceptance. NOLA is a really cool city and there are so many opportunities as Tulane student to really help the community...
Update: Withdrew for Maryland. Tough choice, but the right one for me.
Summary of Experience:
Wow, this application cycle just turned out more amazingly than I ever could have hoped. These acceptances were three of my top schools going in...
