Summary of Application Experience
The waiting is the hardest part. Excrutiating! You play the stats game of oh my GPA is low, or the PhD wont count, oh my MCAT is too average. You just have to submit, write the best essays you can, be truthful and let it go and play out. The process has not cost me anything yet because I am too poor and got the FAP, for all the NY schools I can drive or take a bus and so far I have to buy one ticket to UCSD. We will see how it plays out. Word of advice--do the secondaries EARLY! I couldn\'t, I was in Africa, rural Africa for part of the summer so I couldn\'t get them done. The waiting sucks when everyone else is already scheduling interviews etc. Nerve wrecking for sure, this whole med school app process is sooo not for the weak at heart, I don\'t remember gradschool apps being this bad.
