Summary of Experience:
This whole process is so unpredictable...it\'s not that I considered this school a safety by any means, I just wouldn\'t have expected to get interviews at the places I did and be rejected pre-interview here. Still not letting it get me down!
Summary of Experience:
As I said before, it\'s common courtesy to withdraw when you know you won\'t attend a school or even an interview. I don\'t know if they really were still considering me, but if an interview was in my future, hope it goes to someone who reeeeeeally wants it!
Summary of Experience:
I\'ve heard some good things about the school, but I\'m not sure about attending the interview only because plane tickets are so expensive and I\'m missing so much class. I\'d hate to give up on what could be a great opportunity, though...
Summary of Experience:
Cannot believe I will be interviewing here! I hope it\'s as laid-back and conversational as some have said.
Update: An amazing program, and everyone there was very welcoming. Mine weren\'t the most relaxed interviews ever, but I kept my cool as much as possible. Still not expecting awesome news in March...
Summary of Experience:
There are definitely cool things about this school, I just don\'t feel that it is the place for me. It\'s only right to withdraw, as I hope people would do the same at my top choices if they knew they wouldn\'t attend!
Summary of Experience:
Had a horrible time getting to St. Louis and attended interview in street clothes since luggage did not arrive. The school was impressive, however, and my interviewer was very gracious and welcoming. I don\'t feel I did as well as I could have but I also don\'t think the circumstances could have been much worse! Hopefully they\'ll go easy on me.
Considering my interview, waitlisting is definitely as favorable as could be. I felt more at home at MCW though, so will probably withdraw.
Summary of Experience:
They are very accommodating here, and it was the best lunch I\'ve had! There are amazing opportunities offered here. Also the only school I\'ve been to that mentioned full, merit-based scholarships.
Summary of Experience:
I\'m a little concerned about the safety of Baltimore, but more than anything amazed and incredulous at the opportunity to interview here. Wow!
The interview day was pretty awesome, and Baltimore didn\'t seem too bad. What an honor it would be to receive a phone call in 6-8 weeks!
Letter instead of phone call...still pretty crazy to have gotten so far. I know how stiff the waitlist is, so thanks anyway, JH!
Summary of Experience:
Finally received the secondary after more than 6 weeks of waiting! Like many, I would love to go here, and am grateful to still be under consideration.
Interview invite exactly 10 weeks after submitting the secondary. I\'m scheduled for Feb. 1st, but I\'m nervous already! Thank you, thank you UCSF!
Update: Completely impressed. Must try to maintain sanity until decision time.
I sent two letters of interest, one after being placed on the hpl and the other after being waitlisted, to express my sincerity and why I felt the school was perfect for me. I can\'t know if they made a difference, but I am so fortunate that after a long process it worked out just as I had hoped.
Summary of Experience:
These interviews really are relaxed, plus throughout the visit people are constantly offering to answer any questions you might have. Seems like a great school with an efficient admissions process!
WOW...they really are fast. Even as I type I cannot believe that I am going to be a doctor. Nope, still not real. Thanks MCW!
I definitely could have been happy here, but ultimately had to go with my dream school.
