Brief Profile:
Non-trad. New to the application scene. I\\\\\\\'ve put off this mission for far too long. Within the next 3 years, I WILL BE IN MEDICAL SCHOOL. Mark those words (written 9/8/2010).
Some clinical experience in hospital (2500+ hours) Plenty of work experience in other fields A few small leadership roles in undergrad E.C. Nothing fancy in terms of E.C. Good L.O.R. from a doc I worked for (well, I\\\\\\\'m assuming it\\\\\\\'s good) About to start a hospital volunteer gig in a month or so.
Possible post-bacc begins in a few months.

Summary of Application Experience
9/8/2010
I was a bit late on the primary app at 8/15/2010 but we shall see what happens. It didn\'t matter too much being that I did not take the MCAT until September. My plan is to see what kind of responses I get for this first attempt. If I can land a spot at NYCOM or UMDNJ chances are I will take it and run. If not, I\'m taking another run at the MCAT (which I am studying for AGAIN already) as well as enrolling in a post-bacc program where I will take upper level science courses with one or two repeats. That said, I will also do both of the above if I have not received an acceptance from those either of the 2 schools by the time mid-January rolls around. Being that I am a bit late in the cycle, chances are I will be writing the MCAT again and kicking the GPA up in the classroom. I will apply M.D. next cycle if I can get myself a 35+ MCAT, which is definitely possible with a better approach to my preparation.
Prediction on my last MCAT... 28R. Not enough passage practice during preparation. Content review alone leads to false security. Guess we\'ll have to wait and see the scores. Real test seemed way harder than AAMC. Averaging a 30.
Hopefully I\'ll be reporting some invites by the time Christmas rolls around. I\'d say Santa Baby, but I\'m a dude, so... yeah...
Summary of Experience:
Another one where I was too excited and clicked the check box on the application. Highly doubt I will fill out a secondary, regardless of school quality. Too far.
Summary of Experience:
Don\'t know about these guys. Visited the school- great facilities. Lacking 5Boro Rotations. Not cool. If that changes this school shoots up to the top of the list. However I am unsure about the McMedicine approach to medical education. Weary...
Summary of Experience:
I heard a few good things about the place, but I\'m not sure about the franchise approach to medical education. Say what you may, but it rubs me a bit funny.
Summary of Experience:
My number 1... or my number 2. Okay it\'s tied with NYCOM but it can easily take the number one spot on it\'s own. Both great schools. The race is on...
Summary of Experience:
Possibly my number 1 or 2. Tied with UMDNJ. Their admissions office is awesome and quick to help. Clinical rotations all over the tri-state area.
Summary of Experience:
Yeah, I spent the extra cash on the primary here, but I\'m sort of giving myself the kick in the rear for it. A letter from the Dean??? Come on. Been out of school for a while, so this is asking a lot. Peace out PCOM.
