Summary of Experience:
One of my top schools.
Rejected pre-secondary, sent in an appeal. Crossing my fingers they will give me a second chance!
Summary of Experience:
This secondary kept on getting pushed lower on my priority list. Towards the end, I got tired of doing secondaries. Also researched a little bit more about the school and did not like what I read about the school being super competitive, having unhappy students, etc.
Summary of Experience:
Got request for LORs! Keeping my fingers crossed for an interview invite.
Interview invite 08/04!!
Great school with many opportunities. Everyone was extremely friendly, and loved the school. Have mixed feelings about the school though and whether Mayo and Rochester is for me.
Summary of Experience:
Great school, loved their Foundations of Clinical Medicine course, preceptorships. Early clinical experience, great board scores. They really take care of their students, and everyone seemed happy to be there. Diverse patient population. Con: Richmond isn\'t that safe.
On hold for first batch of acceptances. Really really crossing my fingers for an acceptance here!
Summary of Experience:
11/08 Qualified out of area waitlist.
I really enjoyed my interview day here. All of the students were so nice, friendly, happy, and genuine. I can see myself fitting in with the students. A lot of them randomly stopped to wish us good luck and asked us if we had questions.
I really like the curriculum and how innovative and integrative it is. Very receptive to students and catering to what they want or need. H/P/F system, but doesn\'t seem to be competitive. Public health project --> plus! Early clinical experience, start rotations 2nd year, so take boards in Feb of second year. Good board scores. High primary care ranking, but also good for other specialties as well.
Interview was very laid back and conversation, didn\'t seem like an hour at all.
I was surprised at how much I liked this school after my interview day. Love the curriculum and how it is in blocks. Students are not in class all day, from 8-12 usually, sometimes less. Cool simulation lab. Really good board scores. Administration seems to really care for the students and their success. St. Louis is also a fun city from what I saw.
