I really regret taking the MCAT the summer that I applied. Because my score didn\'t come in until the end of August, my applications weren\'t complete until mid-September. I also wish I had applied more broadly and considered location more heavily. As you can see, I was wait-listed at several of the top schools. Thankfully things worked out, but I could easily have had to go to my state school when I probably would have been able to get into schools ranked 20-40. It\'s great to shoot for the stars, but applying to only one school not in the top tier was definitely a mistake.
