University of Chicago sure has a speedy admissions staff. 10/14/2011 - Rejected from UCSF pre-secondary today. Silver lining: I am now officially done with secondaries - have been for a while. 10/21/2011 - One week later and I got a voicemail saying I was accepted to the Medical College of Wisconsin. I am going to be a doctor and I am so thrilled! 03/01/2012 - Accepted to Northwestern! I\'m still waiting to hear back about financial aid, but I\'m really happy with my options at this point. 04/05/2012 - Rejected from Rush (no interview) today. Now the only school I\'m still waiting to hear about is University of Chicago. 04/25/2012 - May 15th is coming up quickly now. I\'m still deciding between Northwestern and my state school, UW. Northwestern\'s Second Look was really great and the new curriculum sounds awesome. This is really just a decision about cost at this point. 05/14/2012 - Officially withdrew from UW. I\'ll be attending Northwestern in the fall!
First Interview! 10/22/2011 - Received a letter in the mail notifying me of my continued status. Happy to still be in the running and still eagerly hoping for an acceptance. The admissions staff here is so friendly and helpful!
I love that the medical school is on the larger university campus. And the Scholarly Concentration program sounds really well thought out. The curriculum is traditional/lecture-based but I could definitely see myself here for four years.

MCW has some really great clinical opportunities, most of which are located right on the campus. The campus has a very suburban feel. All of the students seemed really enthusiastic about the school and it sounded like there are a lot of extracurricular opportunities here. I just wish the campus was closer to downtown Milwaukee.
Fantastic interview day! Everyone was really friendly and the Case curriculum sounds great. Plus the hospitals in Cleveland all sound pretty impressive. I really liked the integrated block structure to the pre-clinical years.

Northwestern is updating their curriculum next year and it sounds amazing. The new curriculum will be very integrated, tying early clinical experiences in with lecture material. I really liked the emphasis on problem-based learning and treating students as \"adult independent learners.\" And of course, I love Chicago.
Accepted! So very excited. This is definitely a top choice for me.
The UW has a great emphasis on public health integrated into the MD curriculum. All the students seemed very conscious of big picture issues pertaining to health care. Everyone was friendly and laid back.
