Summary of Application Experience
You can say I had delusions of grandeur by applying so late in the application season, but it was just a reliance on faith. I have risen from some extreme obstacles and beaten the statistics. I read every single post about the importance of applying early, but financial and family obstacles delayed my application until the last moment. I could not afford to schedule the MCAT until the VERY last test day in September. When I went to register, all of the seats were taken, and I just broke down and almost cried. I then looked up to the heavens and prayed. I said out loud, \"Someone is holding my seat! This is not your time. In the name of Jesus, release my spot!\" By the end of the day, I had registered for the MCAT. I did not have an interview invite until after Christmas, and throughout this process, I repeated the same prayer. This may sound stupid to many of you, because as pre-meds, the supernatural and science are not complimentary. Nevertheless, my faith has been a source of strength.
I must say that I am forever grateful for the FAP! They DO care about those of us with the potential to become physicians but have limited resources, and I plan to contribute to the expansion of the program when I graduate from medical school. For those who have received funding, do not forget to pay it forward!

Summary of Experience:
I have read a few postings of NC students having less than stellar experiences at in-state schools. Maybe it has something to do with the economy. After all, this is big business. I just didn\'t \'feel\' like ECU was a good fit after a tour. I therefore decided not to submit the secondary.
Summary of Experience:
Looking at the numbers, it is likely that I would\'ve been offered a spot (if I didn\'t tank the interview). They just offer a small number of interview spots to OOS applicants. However, I had to realistically evaluate if I would be happy living in Ohio for four years.
Summary of Experience:
I completed an internship at UCONN, and I made a great impression during my time there. I just believe my rejection has to do with my out of state status and late AMCAS submission. It is a fabulous school, so good luck for those who were accepted!
Summary of Experience:
This school does almost everything possible to make sure their students excel. They also had an 100% pass rate on their USMLE step one last year. In about ten + years, this will be the ECU of GA, and I was proud to see that it made the rankings in US News this year. I believe it was number 30. GO MOREHOUSE!
