Summary of Application Experience
I\'m going to try and be as detailed as possible because I know the anxiety that I\'m feeling right now going through the entire process with my mediocre GPA. I can\'t stop thinking about what is going to happen and where I will end up next year. Anxiety has essentially consumed my life and I doubt it will change until I have an acceptance letter at hand. I hope the details I provide can ease future applicants\' anxiety and help them be successful.

Recommendation Letters sent electronically to ATSU-KCOM via. Interfolio. I fail at MCAT studying. Evidently, I\'d rather be working on my applications. 8/17/10 - TUCOM supplemental application mailed. Recommendation Letters sent by mail to TUCOM via. Interfolio. 8/18/10 - Wow. I have done next to nothing for my MCAT... :( I\'m starting to feel the pressure. This sucks. An interview invite would really take some stress off right about now. Oh well, I perform better under pressure anyways. 15 hrs everyday for the next 15 days = 225 hrs. Let\'s pray that\'s enough! Also, from reading all the posts on Touro NY from SDN, I\'m starting to realize that receiving a supplemental app from Touro NY is an automatic interview. I applied to Touro NY the last app. cycle and got a secondary, but I never turned it in because of the $200 app. fee. Needless to say, I\'m regretting it now. 8/20/10 - LECOM-E updated my status...but I have no clue what it means. I\'ll update as soon as I find out for sure. Called AZCOM today...waitlisted. Decided to submit my primary to Touro NY. I gotta do something, I\'m desperate. 8/24/10 - Touro NY supplemental application received...INTERVIEW!!! TouroCOM emailed to say that my app. is complete. 8/25/10 - Rejected from LECOM-E via. snail mail. Received confirmation of my application from ATSU-KCOM. But it shows that they haven\'t received my LOR\'s! I sent my LOR\'s through Interfolio nearly 10 days ago! Ahhhh! I have to call ATSU tomorrow. 8/26/10 - Touro NY supplemental application mailed. Called ATSU-KCOM today...they told me they received my LOR\'s. App. was on hold for MCAT score though, so I told them to go ahead and review w/o MCAT score. I don\'t feel like I\'ll do much better. Actually, I might do worse considering my lack of studying this time around... :( 9/1/10 - Waitlisted at WVSOM. 9/3/10 - Voided MCAT, probably would have gotten a lower score than my original...this sucks! Received e-mail from Touro NY saying app. is complete. Fingers crossed for an interview w/ Touro NY anyways. Also started to consider applying to St. George\'s U. Med. 9/4/10 - Rejected from LECOM-B via. snail mail. E-mailed A.T. Still KCOM, PCOM, DMUCOM and WVSOM to inform them not to wait for my 2nd MCAT score...because I voided it. 9/15/10 - Got an e-mail with interview dates for TUCOM-NY interview!!!!! Dates are Nov 2nd, 3rd, 9th or 10th. Just sent an e-mail to Admissions. I chose Nov. 2nd. 9/16/10 - Nov.2nd is filled...crap. Fingers crossed for Nov. 3rd...Nov.3rd is closed too! Trying for the 9th... Interview with TUCOM-NY on Nov. 10th...Confirmed! (Lesson learned today: reply right away to interview invites!!!) E-mailed CCOM and TUCOM-CA today to check on the status of my application...apparently, my app is complete but still under review. 10/04/10 - Second interview invite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap!!! TUCOM-CA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AhhhhHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! 10/05/10 - TUCOM-CA Interview date confirmed for November 16th. 10/09/10 - Booked flight and hotel for TUCOM-NY interview. Flight on Orbitz.com: ~ $210. Aloft Harlem on Alofthotels.com: ~ $280 (expensive-yes, convenient-definitely yes!). Bus ride on the M60 from La Guardia to Harlem and back: pocket change. 10/16/10 - Booked flight and hotel for TUCOM-CA interview. Flight on Orbitz.com: ~ $350. Courtyard Marriott in Vallejo: ~ $110. Bus ride from SFO to Vallejo and back: ~ $60. 11/04/10 - Rejected from ATSU-Kirksville. 11/10/10 - Interviewed at Touro-Harlem. I don\'t feel good about the interview. High wait list if I want to be optimistic. 11/16/10 - Interviewed at Touro-Mare Island. I could be happier about the school and how my interview went. I find out in two days! Everyone please pray for me...
11/19/10 - Medium wait-list at TUCOM-CA. 11/23/10 - High wait-list at TUCOM-NY. Trying to remain optimistic...will be sending in two more letters of recommendation to both Touro NY and CA, will be writing a letter of intent/interest to NY and CA, and will be re-taking my MCAT soon to get my score up to 30+ 12/20/10 - Recommendation from Dr. Smith (my research mentor of two years) delivered via. Interfolio to CCOM, AZCOM, TUCOM-NY, and TUCOM-CA. Preparing for April MCATs and trying to look for a better job! Student loans are a fricking pain! I need more $$$! 1/17/10 - Registered for May 7th MCAT. 1/18/11 - Rejected from CCOM. 2/28/11 - Accepted into Midwestern University (Downers Grove) Masters in Biomedical Science (2 yr. program). Fairly solid backup for now, but still praying for TUCOM-NY acceptance! 4/26/11 - Rejected from PCOM. 8/11/11 - Interviewed at ROSS U. 8/17/11 - Rejected from Touro-NY after staying on the high wait list for nearly a year. 9/16/11 - Accepted. Ross University class of 2015...January 2012 start.
