Brief Profile:
I worked for a future potential nobel laureate at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for my postdoctoral fellowship. I did my Ph.D. at the University of Kansas Medical Center where I lectured medical school classes in histology and taught lab. I did my M.S at University of Florida in Cardiovascular Pharmacology. I have numeous first Authorship publications and I am a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology and Biology at 3 differnent colleges. I also teach high school Biology, Physics and Chemistry. I took my MCAT without studying...I did not have any time to prepare. I did crappy on it and by no means feel that the MCAT is a judge of my abilities and potential to become an excellent physician. Its just my life circumstances. Many people will not be able to compare my \"stats\" for helping in applications...but they will see the power of the MCAT put to the test versus the power of a Ph.D. and my background in a medical school application....which is uniquely interesting I am sure. So here goes.

Summary of Application Experience
Texas Schools rejected me. Not shocked. 3 Interview invites, 1 waitlist, and 1 acceptance and the cycle is not even done- it is only the end of December. I may not even attend an interview I have. I am in the class of 2014! MCAT did not stop me. I will be a physician scientist D.O., Ph.D!!!!!! Yeah I know, some of you would yell at me to re-take the MCAT smash it and apply to big places etc. Fact is, I am going to join the military. Doesn\'t matter, I will be a physician and end up the same place regardless. On to more important matters, like studying for medical boards. I am not wasting a year of my life and thousands of more dollars for a stupid exam (MCAT) which has no relevance except for a dog and pony show for applicants in front of med schools. I applied to over 20 different schools, spent $6,000 on the whole process. I am not doing it again. I got in. If I didn\'t have my background, and had my crappy MCAT....would not stand a chance.

Summary of Experience:
Did my PhD here. All of my Recs are from Ku MED school Faculty in high positions. Thought I would give it a chance. Plus I taught med students here. This will be interesting.
Summary of Experience:
This school wanted me to apply to it. But that was before they saw my MCAT. Hahaha Still early in the cycle for them and haven\'t gotten rejected yet. :)
Summary of Experience:
Got an invite. Love the rotations and options the school has, but not the school itself. Hate the area. I went to Post for undergrad. So I won\'t go for the interview...it isn\'t a fit for me.
